Yemeni recruits who travelled to Russia told the Financial Times that they were promised high-paying jobs and even Russian citizenship. But when they arrived in the country, they were forcibly conscripted into the Russian army and sent to the frontline in Ukraine.
The Houthis (Iranian funded, which is also attacking Europe through sending missiles and drones to Russia) are now both attacking Europe through shipping lanes, and by sending meat for the front lines in Ukraine.
The fact that Russia needs other people to fight its own war, is telling. This says everything you need to know about current-day Russia.
It’s a weak, failing nation. Putin is a total failure.
Russia literally cannot afford contracting more Russians. Foreign mercs for poor countries come cheap.

I think at a certain point Putin will just go unhinged and release nukes. Are ceasefire talks even happening?
A few months ago a story ran that Putin was recruiting West African to fight in Ukraine. They were not issued with guns but given sticks to simulate rifles. They were also made to not hide in bunkers but to walk around to act as honey traps for drones, I have not seen a follow up report on this so cannot corroborate it’s provenance

It’s time to declare war on Russia and end this madness, this would be like the entirety of Europe just doing nothing during WW2. Sheer force is the only thing Putin understands our diplomacy has failed, there is no other way to bring peace to fight the war we don’t want to.
It’s not that Russia lacks manpower, but it would be political suicide for Putin if he started drafting russians from the big cities.
It’s all about keeping people in Moscow and St. Petersburg happy.

I mean an article of ukrainetoday.org is like 100% pure and undiluted propaganda of a state at war. It is beyond me why sources like these continue to be posted on this sub reddit, while the opposite ones are banned on the basis of being propaganda. I guess this is just that blind spot of “democracy” and “freedom of speech” that I struggle to understand 🙁
