This comes from two irrelevant candidates and it’s just done for them to appear in the news with something.
And even if this were serious and the big parties got involved, there were no fraud allegations at any point during the elections, almost suspiciously so, it was the cleanest elections I remember in that perspective.
The fact that the Russian aligned Calin Georgescu, the first round winner, used TikTok bots and manipulated the socials and populations into voting him is another thing entirely and doesn’t constitute fraud.
What might be considered fraud, though, is that he declared €0 campaign expenses, which is obviously bullshit, but Russian money being used for TikTok promotion through dodgy individuals is very hard to borderline impossible to prove.
Can a Romanian explain the legal basis for this?
I’d like to believe there’s a legal way to stop foreign interference of this sort. Something to stem the flood of this utter idiocy before the collective democratic west does the reasonable thing and starts doing voting eligibility tests. Civics, economy, whether the man landed on the moon, just basic things.
And rightfully so. We should annul all elections as long as tictoc roams free
It’s weird to watch democratic countries become undemocratic when their side isn’t winning lol eeeesh the entire system we have truly is running on eggshells.

As a Romanian I find it funny how people that have been in power for over 30 years stealing from us and destroying our country have suddenly became the ”good guys”, some of the most evil and corrupt people have been in power ever since the fall of communism ruining our country and making over 6 million flee for a better life abroad yet no one bats an eye, and now that a guy with no political/mafia backing clan comes along and manages to get people to vote for him without spending hundreds of millions of euros (money that other politicians spend using our taxes btw) on advertisement, and all tv stations and political mafia parties turn on him
