That’s when things went too far.
Reposting same comment from politics sub as think they are very related but has anyone been following the [insane story in Romania](https://www.politico.eu/article/calin-georgescu-romania-elections-far-right-tiktok-nato-skeptic-russia-ukraine-exports/) where the guy seems to have garnered an entire support base from this platform while being relatively unknown in the country. Now maybe there are more voting shenanigans below the surface, but the whole thing is very scary.
[This video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZ5XN_mJE8Y) shows the level of disinformation that we are currently living in. I think we are lucky that the BS detectors for many are quite high in Ireland but man we need defences and solutions to these problems yesterday.

I have no problem with any of these ads. Anyone believing them doesn’t really deserve a vote.
Using TikTok is a fools game. Its just a stupid thing to be doing.
Tik Toks been summoned by the EU over meddling in the Romanian election. Russian involvement in our own election should not be ruled out. Their actively causing trouble everywhere they can and however they can.
Look what happened in Romania at the presidential elections .
TikTok need to be very very very regulated or banned.
This is particularly worrying when you have hateful cretins like Philip Dwyer running in Wicklow.
Social media platforms should be raked over the coals for allowing this kind of meddling in our democratic process
Tick tok is an arm of the CCP like it is known. Ofc they are gonna meddle people on that app should take everything as potential AI generation or fake unless you know it’s true mainstream news needs to try harder with younger generations.
