The only positive thing about having nuclear weapons is when such weapons are owned by multiple countries with conflicting interest. The only condition for this statement to be indeed positive is to have leaders who are sane enough to understand the consequences of using nuclear weapons.

This is not surprising to anyone who’s spoke to Russians about it. A couple years ago I was working on a project with some Russians online and when I asked 3 of them about how they’re gonna navigate the war etc what they were saying was crazy. They believe all the conspiracies like the dollar is actually weaker than the ruble, biolabs, Ukraine is full of actual nazis, the US army is in Ukraine etc

I can’t see this ever happen for two reasons:
1 – Russia doesn’t need to do it as they are winning now. Albeit slowly & costly to them but they are winning.
2 – NATO will get involved if Russia does use a nuke.
