    3. Based on the other listings on that site, that’s the going rate for a *bed* in a shared room, so even worse than renting an entire room in an overcrowded house. Fuck’s sake.

      Tbf, this MIGHT not be too bad, depending. In the States fraternity and sorority houses, which are in massive old homes, house numbers like this.

      Wasn’t it mainly the irish who did most of the evictions and dirty work for absentee landlords during the famine – even locals.
