The placing of these beers seems so random. No grouping or structure at all?

    2. Some of this stuff wouldn’t look bad in a Belgien supermarket. Try to find St. Bernardus wit (the lightblue cans from St. Bernardus) in your local supermarket in Belgium.

That’s a nice range! I’m partial to Rochefort 8 and Gulden Draak, myself. St. Bernardus, Chimay, and Chouffe are also good choices! It’s a bit of a cliché, but your female friends will likely enjoy Kriek, the cherry-based beer.

    4. That’s an amazing line-up. For the follow-up post, please drink at least one of each and report back to us.

edit: Do they sell the proper glasses too ? I am not anal but for the best experience you might want to invest in a few glasses that can take 33cl (330ml). Maybe a Tulip glass is enough for most beers but a Chalice/Goblet or a Snifter is sometimes preffered. Actually I am heretical here as every beer has its own glass but yeah, 2-3 different glasses could be enough of a good start.

Also Orval. This isn’t easy to find in a supermarket in Flanders.

Amazing selection! My suggestion for beers to definitely try:

      Duvel, a classic strong beer
La chouffe, another classic that’s a bit easier to drink
Chimay blue, a great darker beer
Orval, a quite unique beer (though a bit of an acquired taste)
      Any of the trappist beers

Try to find a round bottom glass to enjoy these beers. A red wine glass works in a pinch. Be aware of the strong foaming when serving.

    7. yeah nice, except for the prices and there isn’t Orval! xd

you should try ‘Lindemans Kriek’ , and of course a Trappiste Rochefort. and of a friday night, at home, a Duvel !!

    9. Seems there is a Belgian beer lover working at the purchasing department of said supermarket
