Cercherò di spiegare nel miglior modo possibile qual è la mia domanda.
La settimana scorsa un dipendente Vodafone si è presentato alla mia porta dicendomi che mi stava informando della necessità di cambiare la scatola di connessione (Anschlussdose), cioè quella che ho attualmente (guardate la foto) scadrà e non sarà più possibile essere usato. È necessario cambiarlo con un altro che abbia tre opzioni di connessione invece di quelle a zick-zack (per così dire). Ha detto che ci sono dei grandi cambiamenti in Germania, quindi possono farlo gratuitamente nelle prossime 4 settimane + ricevo un router gratuito e una connessione Internet più economica.
Aggiungo che a casa mia ho anche questo ‘tondo’ e da quanto ho capito da internet è soprattutto per la TV.
Mi piacerebbe davvero restare con Telekom (odio Vodafone, l’ho avuto una volta ed era davvero pessimo), quindi qualcuno può darmi maggiori informazioni su cosa sta succedendo qui, cosa dovrei fare ecc.?
Aggiungo che mi sono trasferito 2 mesi fa in un nuovo posto, c’era un dipendente della Telekom per attivare Internet e non ha detto nulla sull’Anschlussdose.

That wasn’t a technician, but someone who wanted to sell you a switch to cable with Vodafone.
The socket is absolutely fine for a DSL connection and will not be removed
Sounds like he was a door Sales Person. They cant just switch you off.
Yeah that was either a scammer or some shady subcontractor trying to screw you over.
Vodafone delivers internet via cable (the rounded sockets) instead of dsl (the zig zag phone socket from the image).
If you have a contract with the Telekom you don’t need to let these into your house and especially not let them change anything. That aside changing out the socket is not possible as these use different cables.
If you’re renting an apartment talk to your Vermieter if they maybe asked Vodafone to install new cables. If they didn’t just ignore them.
The TAE (phone Box) should still be working for a long time, there is no reason to change it until you switch to Fiberglas or something.
The round ones are indeed for cable TV, but you can also get Internet from These. The only company providing Internet through those is Kabeldeutschland which is owned by Vodafone. If you get cable Internet you also need to install a new connection Box, but it’s fairly easy and I bet you could do it yourself.
I think the salesman wanted you buy into Cabelinternet from Vodafone , but if you dont want to, you dont need to. There is no reason the change from DSL by Telecom, except that they are know for their high prices.
