Yea Rutte predicted that he’ll be winning the election and is ready to deal with Trump. He’s the right one.
Trump is going to slap him around like a ragdoll, and I am by no means a Trump fan.
More likely they have played it safe, and Trump’s win was already predicted by many during that time.
The US is too powerful and rich which makes it difficult to talk about stuff. Arrogance became its main virtue and it’s more visible now thanks to Trump. The EU will not get anything from the US but only threats. Let’s wait for new tariffs for the EU too.
At the end of the day, NATO follows America’s lead. Let’s be real here, This guy is not a “NATO boss”.

NATO boss is also one of the main reasons our military apparatus over here in the Netherlands is not up-to-date.

NATO “boss” is the boss of nothing. It’s a caretaker role with very little authority. He’s an administrator with a tiny budget and staff, not an executive.

Whenever I see something like this, I get wary that he is in fact _not_ the right man in the right time. We all thought Garland was going to put Trump in prison, and yet he’s the new president.
