    1. Here’s my cope scenario :

      > West fear what trump’s term will mean for ukraine

      > Last minute effort to get all the aid NATO can provide before TFG takes office

      > Ukraine actually get what they asked

      > Scholz is replaced by another guy who immediately sends taurus

      > Russia economy collapses, army face huge logistical issues on the frontlines

      > Ukraine starts winning, despite trump not doing anything

      > Russia’s war against ukraine ends in 2026

      > Trump get Nobel Peace Price.

    2. I believe them this time!

      I believe Putin is good.

      I believe Trump is honest.

I also believe in Santa Claus 🎅

    3. Ugh, if Trump gets the Nobel prize, I’m moving off this planet.

Only 3 years late. Freaking giant sloth action here, hopefully it’s enough

Are we using “pledge” the way Amber Heard used it?

Unfortunately this continues looking unlikely. There has been a larger than usual $725m package in December so far, but even if there are two more just like it in December and another two before January 20th (which is already very unlikely based on previous pace), that will still leave $1.325 billion unspent.

It’s also worth noting that the $61 billion figure is misleading. Only a portion of that actually goes to Ukraine, divided into PDA, USAI and FMF, for a total of $20 billion spent so far in 2024, and $9.8 billion remaining. The $61 billion figure describes the amount of money Congress authorized to deal with the Ukraine-Russia war, much of it going to increase domestic production and replenish US weaponry stocks.
