>PSD leader Marcel Ciolacu announced on Wednesday evening that he is supporting Elena Lasconi in the second round of the presidential elections, stressing that “we must overcome the wave of hatred that has been eating us for 20 years”. Ciolacu also said that he was most affected by the way Călin Georgescu artificially increased his exposure in the electoral contest, circumventing the legal framework.

>I have taken note of the declassification of CSAT documents showing that undeclared external funding was used in Mr. Călin Georgescu’s election campaign and that there are patterns of work showing the involvement of state actors!
>I could not speak publicly about these documents because I respected the law. However, one fact is certain: in the electoral competition, I was the most affected by the way Mr. Călin Georgescu artificially increased his exposure, circumventing the legal framework. I hope that, on the basis of the evidence published today, the state authorities will do their job and all those guilty will pay!
>Faced with this reality, I will support Mrs. Elena Lasconi in the second round of the presidential elections. We have already started to build a pro-European parliamentary and governmental majority to support Mrs. Elena Lasconi in the December 8 vote

Ciolacu endend third in the first round of the presedential elections, and his party PSD doesn’t really get along with USR (Lasconi’s party).
All main political parties in Romania are now officialy supporting Lasconi.

I guess that’s one win a progressive Romanian party could finally score a win.
He is just a piece of shit that waited for the highest bidder. Sadly, we need him to overcome the far-right. The far-right figures are very controversial and dangerous. The moment Georgescu wins, Russia wins a country without firing a single physical bullet, just digital ones.
He just pulled that move streaming platforms use: if you choose to leave them, you can’t go back to the cheap subscription (whether you love or hate the platform and its ads).
