Ukraine isn’t getting 50B from Russian assets, it’s getting a loan secured by Russian assets. Still great, but different from how the article portrays it.
This is basically saying that the U.S. has given the ok to sell off Russian assets. This money is getting funneled back into the government and a loan or a loan for the military supplies that Ukraine needs. The money is definitely staying here in the U.S. but certain equipments will be cycled out and given to Ukraine at a cost.
