This is a taste of things to come from the US for the next couple years at least.

The odds of the Ukrainians suffering a fast death in that period just went up (to the Russians’ unvarnished *delight*) after being unforgivably strung along for the previous couple years on slow-death mode because of the deliberate slow-drip and nerfing of military aid.

As much as many of us in the First World believe that the Ukrainians have (or *deserve*) agency, too many politicians in these parts have begged to differ by repeatedly signing off on policies which ripped away that agency from the Ukrainians.

By repeatedly imposing impractical rules of engagement and restrictions on the Ukrainians’ use of NATO-grade hand-me-downs, they not only degraded whatever advantages in morale and technical innovation possessed by the ZSU, but also railroaded the Ukrainians into fighting an attritional war favoring the invading Russian hordes. To make matters worse, this blockheadness among the suits and Ivory Tower advisors in the First World yielded the additionally malicious consequence of minimizing the inherent disadvantage of the Russians’ traditionally inflexible and top-down approach to “problem-solving”.

In a proper setting, a Westernized military force trained to rely more on decentralization and initiative among the lower ranks would have a fighting chance against forces guided primarily by centralization and top-down micromanagement even if at a certain numerical disadvantage.

The Russians couldn’t have wished for better Western “partners” in their centuries-long quest to exterminate the Ukrainians than American politicians and their inexcusably Russophilic advisers post-1991 (hello Budapest Memorandum).

      >” The Biden administration has about $6 billion in funds left for Ukraine, but is facing challenges in giving the full amount because of dwindling American military stockpiles.”

This quote from the article needs discussion.

Additional funding is needed, but it wouldn’t quickly translate into additional military aid.

It would instead allow the US to dip deeper into its arsenal, but this is often insufficient and has limits.

So what does he think has exactly changed in the dynamic of the Russian war on Ukraine?

What is the “told you so” he’s referring to?

Johnson’s intellectual depth is measured in fractions of microns. Why not stay out of power if you believe in some divine power having the ultimate say anyway. He should get lost with the rest of the kakistokratic “leadership “…

Just play smart here, Biden…….. conservatives are going to get what they want anyway. Throw a bone at the Republicans, even a generous one on something that is going to be passed anyways, to push this through. Give a little to get a little. Two months of inevitability isnt going to change anything. Attach something to it that the Republicans cant refuse, like border wall funding.

strange given how much the MIC funds this cunt specifically. Moscow must be paying more.

This puts to rest the narrative Trump will support Ukraine

His submissiveness to Leader Trump is total. He breathes and lives for the emanations of Trump. And do watch Johnson photobomb Trump photos every, as in every, chance he gets. This religious freak toy boy is pathetic.

All about saving unborn babies, but not our allies. Saving orcs is this man’s and MAGA’s mission.

Hardly surprising. Trump’s in charge now.

The best hope for more American aid is Putin and Trump feuding. There’s a decent chance that happens. It’s hard to see the egomaniac trio of Trump, Putin, and Elon staying friends for long. Particularly with Zelensky doing his best to get Trump on side.
