In Europe, the last territory to give women the right to vote was Appenzell Innerrhoden in 1990, but they had to be forced by a ruling of the Swiss Federal Court. Another Swiss canton, Appenzell Ausserrhoden, legalised women’s suffrage only in 1989.
Wait why do the Turkish women in this picture have their beautiful hair out but the Turkish women in my street all wear hijabs?
And the funniest [saddest tbh] thing in the world is that Swiss women gained such right 37 years later.
Before politcal Islam tool over Turkey was a leading example. By letting Islam (Sharia based) lead the way, it went slowly backward in time. Especialy now with Erdogan on the halm.
It’s sad to see that all the progress they have made over there is ruined by dictators that are trying to use religion and cults as a weapon to hold on to power.
