This must be so disheartening and demoralising for the Gardai.
Get treated like crap, assaulted, go through the whole process of arrest, prosecute, etc, and the judge just gives the scrote a slap on the wrist.
You’d be thinking to yourself, “Why even bother?”
The only ones this bollox benefits are the free legal aid solicitors.
With this and the blackmail lad kicking the Gard in the head, who fuck would want to be a Gard? Seems just thankless.

We have a disgraceful justice system
For the 1000th time we can see the problem isn’t the guards, it’s the judges. They are a joke.

We need to protect our Gardaí. They’re not perfect, but they do a damn good job. If you don’t believe me, have a look at Inside the K. Fucking animals they have to deal with.
I wonder do the PSNI get the same level of attacks given they are armed?

FFS a section 3 assault carries a maximum term of 7 years, how does 8 months SUSPENDED reflect that?
