what a fucking loser Assad is

even the American puppet government in Afghanistan held Kabul for couple of day

meanwhile, the rebels in Syria are already 5 kilometers away from Damascus city center

      SUMMARY

**Assad’s Regime Crumbles as Rebels Advance and Allies Withdraw Support**

Bashar al-Assad’s regime is on the verge of collapse as jihadist-led rebel forces make rapid gains across Syria, capturing key cities such as Aleppo and Hama, and closing in on Homs and Damascus. Reports indicate that Assad’s family has fled to Russia, while his whereabouts remain uncertain. The Kremlin, frustrated with the Syrian army’s inability to mount an effective defence, appears unwilling to intervene decisively. Iran has begun withdrawing its military personnel in a further sign of diminishing support.

This ongoing crisis has left Russian bases in Syria vulnerable, prompting evacuation efforts. Both the US and Russia have advised their citizens to leave the country as fears mount over an imminent rebel attack on Damascus. The rapid advance of the rebels highlights the regime’s fragility and alters the dynamics of the Syrian conflict, leaving Assad’s future uncertain.

Russia, like the US and China, doesn’t have any allies – only temporarily aligned interests.

As Assad is finding out momentarily.

Russia probably can’t help Assad this time, as they are tied down in the grinding war in Ukraine. From what I read, the rebels are funded by the US, so, just another move in the deadly international chess game. Still, Russia values it’s navy military base at Tartus, and I believe it has an air base at Hmeimim, so it may do something to hang onto these, even if Assad falls.

Good, they can live with the former Ukraine PM, Viktor Yanukovych who fled to Russia
