      Translation:

The head of the mercenaries guarding Călin Georgescu has been stopped in traffic. According to sources, several cars were on their way to Bucharest when they were stopped by the police and 20 people were taken for questioning. An arsenal was found in their cars, including dozens of bayonets and two pistols, as well as large sums of cash.
It’s a shocking discovery made by the police, because it would be about 20 people, 20 close to Horațiu Potra, former mercenary in the Foreign Legion and supporter of Călin Georgescu, who would have headed to Bucharest last night with this arsenal. Everything from pistols to edged weapons to tactical helmets, including machetes, were found in their cars. They allegedly traveled to Bucharest to cause chaos, police sources say, Digi24 journalist Valentin Stan reports. Both Călin Georgescu and AUR leader George Simion incited people to go to polling stations today. There was a covert incitement to protest in Bucharest, and following those messages given by the political leaders, police officers made several checks and found Horatiu Potra last night around 2pm. There were several cars heading towards the capital. Horațiu Potra, by the way, was in the Foreign Legion, was a mercenary and was seen on various occasions with people in Călin Georgescu’s entourage. The 20 people, including Horațiu Potra, were taken for questioning because several criminal files were opened. Firstly for the fact that they were carrying those pistols and machetes. And secondly, two of the drivers caught by the police last night allegedly tested positive for drugs. The cops are doing more checks, but there is this suspicion that Horațiu Potra’s men were drugged* while driving to Bucharest.

*(amphetamines according to the police) – my note

You must keep in mind that firearms are extremely rare, except hunting rifles, in Romania. And even some airsoft pistol used in public by someone is national news here. So this is very concerning for us. We don’t like guns very much. Especially not in some civilians hands.

When is Europe going to realize that the far-right are the enemy?

It’s not just Romania. It’s Wilders, Le Pen, Meloni, Orban, and so on.

They *hate* the idea of a strong and independent Europe. They *all* have ties to Putin. They are *all* traitors. Each and every single one of them.

We are already at war with Russia, and these people are collaborating with the Kremlin.

Calling this an arsenal is a big stretch. Nonetheless, good they got him, but I’m sure they don’t really have much evidence to put him away for good

I am impressed how resilient the Romanians behave themself’s in these challenging times. Great to see how they defend their democracy and the Europe.

The leader of this mercenary group was one of the candidates for mayor in a town here, but he ended up only in the second place (!)

This runs deep and the foreign influence must be removed from the root.

So, who was bankrolling them if not Georgescu of the Zero Campaign Fund fame?

Were they working pro bono out of goodness?
