      Da freuen sich Menschen, dass der Krieg in ihrer Heimat, in der immer noch Familie und Freunde leben, vorbei ist, danken dem Land, das sie aufgenommen hat und Leute fragen ersthaft: “Warum?”.
      Sind es die Sozialen Medien, die einige emotional oder einfach auch generell verdummen lassen?

      One distinction to these gatherings is that often the flags of the host country are on display (here German flags, same thing in Holland).

      It might be a subtle difference but at least it’s a welcome one.

      This sub is genuinely so racist at times. These refugees have just witnessed the oppressive government that ruled their country for 60 years fall and they are thanking Germany for taking them in while the Civil War killed their family and friends.

      Somehow people are still complaining about it. In the meanwhile, people have started returning to Syria from neighboring countries like Turkey, so why do y’all think they’ll stay in Europe permanently?
