      No other country would make such ridiculous statements like this. Even if it was true and Harris showed clear hate towards some country, their foreign minister wouldn’t make a statement like this.

      Israel has a lot of growing up to do as a Nation which is funny since we were formed around the same time. Maybe the troubles helped Ireland grow up faster.

      There’s a deep irony in Israel accusing us of using loose language for saying that what’s happening in Palestine is genocide when Israel uses the word “antisemitism” to describe anyone who doesn’t agree with them.

      For feck sake, I’m not a fan of Harris but an anti-Semite nah. Israel is pissed because Ireland also has a special relationship with America same as they do and they are afraid some Americans might wonder why dear old Ireland has such a problem with Israel. Their first president was Irish, they fought the black and tans in the same era as we did and were inspired by the IRA. Israel feels we should be on their side.

      I said it before, if I say Saudi Arabia has very bad human rights violations and they should be condemned for that. At no point am I saying Muslims. I am criticising a government for their policies.

      When we say anything about Israel, its about Israel and their policies, not Jewish people.

      This tactic is so disgusting to claim that any criticism of them is antisemitism. And at this stage its so overplayed its political white noise.

      There’s a lot about this that’s awful. But it really undermines actual anti Semitism. And because of Israel’s aggression and “if you disagree with us your anti Semitic” it’s really tough for actual victims.

      Christ. I had to listen to Declan Ganly on the way home on Newstalk. What utter bullshit. The breakfast crew were horribly misguided, too, in terms of trying to provide balance. Harris covered it very well in the afternoon.

      Seriously…how did all these Israeli people become the way they are? Why can they not see the war crimes and genocide happening like the rest of the world? I understand theyre brainwashed from a young age but they have eyes and they know right from wrong like the rest of the world. I just don’t understand how the majority of a large group of people can think this way.

      Israeli government were dying to say all this but had to wait until after the election as it would make Harris more popular.

         It must eat them up knowing that they are so despised that criticism of Irish politicians by Israel is a positive for those  politicians.

      I know the Irish government is deliberately being reasonable and polite, and I think that’s a good strategy, but suggesting that the Irish government is knowingly lying about mass starvation is fucking abhorrent.

      Like we’re going to miss Israel, antisemitism is being used these days to shut up anyone who doesn’t agree with what they’re doing. We don’t like counties who hold land that’s not theirs, we don’t like counties who deliberately target civilians, hospitals, hotels, etc, Ireland knows all too well what colonialism is. Can Jews who are against the war be accused of anti semitism also?? There’s plenty of Jews who are against Israel. The US lectures Russia about Ukraine and rightly so but why not Israel??

      Antisemitism has lost all meaning these days. It’s being used for political propaganda.
