Ciao a tutti. Volevo chiedere a qualcuno che capisce veramente cosa significa questa lettera. Il mio tedesco è abbastanza buono, ma cose del genere a volte mi confondono ancora perché non sono madrelingua.
La storia: Mia moglie ha dato alla luce due gemelli il 6 dicembre, quasi 2 mesi e mezzo prima della data finale che era l’11 febbraio 2025. Ci sono state alcune complicazioni e ha dovuto rimanere in ospedale per 2 mesi e un ginecologo le ha dato il suo divieto di lavoro ( Beschäftigungsverbot ) il 9 ottobre quando è stata ricoverata in ospedale. Il medico mi ha detto di portare la lettera al suo datore di lavoro e lui saprà cosa farne e dove denunciare il divieto di lavoro. Ecco cosa ho fatto, lo stesso giorno in cui ho consegnato la lettera al suo datore di lavoro.
Ha ricevuto l’intero stipendio in ottobre e novembre.
Poi lunedì di questa settimana ha ricevuto una notifica sul suo telefono dalla Barmer Health Insurance Company che diceva che dovevamo confermare alcuni dettagli per poter calcolare la sua indennità per i giorni di malattia dal 7 ottobre fino alla fine di novembre. Sono andato personalmente da Barmer, ho chiesto alla signora di cosa si tratta e lei ha detto che nel loro sistema non c’è traccia della lettera di divieto di lavoro. Ha detto che nessuno glielo ha inviato. Le ho detto che parlerò di nuovo con il suo datore di lavoro e chiarirò la cosa. Questo è successo ieri.
Oggi mia moglie ha ricevuto una lettera dal suo datore di lavoro.
Quindi chiedo se qualcuno è disposto a spiegarmi cosa significa esattamente questa lettera e se dobbiamo restituire questi soldi o dobbiamo aspettarci che siano loro a pagarci? Sono così confuso a riguardo 🤨🤨🤨

It’s more or less a screenshot saying that they submitted it previously, and they’ll update the health insurance company with the actual dates with this month’s salaries.
Literally: “the original work ban should already be available to the health insurance, cf. following screenshot.”
Screenshot shows start/end date of the work ban and what they health insurance is supposed to pay in wage compensation, in a box labeled “Sent to the health insurance”, and it’s obviously a screenshot from some payroll interface.
Last line is “The actual date of delivery and the maternity leave based on that date from 07.12.24 – 12.04.25 will be transmitted to the health insurance with creation (sic) of wages (for) 12/24.”
Basically the employer says that they indeed sent it to the insurance company, and what they sent is in this letter. You’ll need to forward this letter to Barmer so they can do their thing. So, this money there isn’t actually for you to pay or to receive.

From what I understand, the employer is informing you that the insurnce should have already received the original document for the Beschäftigungsverbot.
The healthinsurance will be informed of the actual date of birth and the Mutterschutz for the time after the birth when the salaries for december 24 are finalized.
I would contact health insurance again and show them the letter, because they may have lost the original document.
