Wasn’t their public transport old Yugoslav remnant tram lines? Those trams likely ended their commercial life already.

If it’s anything like Sofia, people weren’t paying for it anyway 🤣

Luxembourg has free public transport in the entire country since March 2020

    4. Belgrade iz choking in traffic. Traffic jams are enormous and are now regularly happening at any given moment during the day. This is the last ditch effort to make people use cars less.

Tallinn has had free transport for… years already.

I guess we live here in a ‘minor’ city? 😀

Just to add a bit context here, currently in Serbia there are massive protests. Faculties and high schools are blocked, people are blocking the streets everyday at noon etc. This is just a populist decision to get some of the people on Vucic’s side. And also, as another commenter said, most of the people didn’t even pay for the transport in the first place.

    7. This is not true. In Luxembourg public transportation is free for everyone since 2020.

Great for Belgrade, but it’s not the first.
Luxembourg has free transport since… 2020 or so. In the whole country.

That’s not true but ok. Luxembourg did it first nationwide

It’s not free, it’s paid by people who don’t use it (something tells me especially they pay more than its users)
