This is more than OK **only** on the conditions that the Nоrkѕ do not learn at all from their mistakes and they do not unduly wear down the Ukrainians who for their part are at a clear disadvantage in a war of attrition (albeit one that’s out of their control as abetted by the First World’s inexcusably persistent fear of EsCaLaTiOn).

In any war of attrition, as naturally favored by the Russians, as long as the invaders learn from their mistakes on the battlefield, even slowly, they then still stand a fighting chance at overcoming outnumbered defenders no matter how much more motivated and innovative the latter are in a fight for their very existence.

It was grade-A hopium to think that the Ukrainians could lean on Bayraktars, HIMARS and some donated Excalibur artillery shells for the duration of the war until blasting out every last mobik and Russian colonist from Ukraine. The Russians have proven to be stupider than the average military, but they’re not *that* stupid to cause a lot of damage and still threaten to overwhelm an outnumbered opponent.
