I personally like it for a cheap blended whiskey. Nothing special but personally prefer to it Jameson or Paddy at it’s price point.
Not as bad as Proper 12
Kilbeggan is fine. Better than Bushmills or Proper 12.
I do enjoy a little drop of Tullamore Dew 😊
Its ok nothing wrong with it. Ireland has whacky booze prices. Same bottle probably close to €30 here. Jameson is €34.

Powers is very good for the price although I’ve recently been introduced to Teelings which is really nice as well.

It is not bad. Long standing whiskey brand owned by Cooley Distillery that Teelings used to own
Don’t ask Reddit – especially Irish whiskey 😉 it’s a nice blended bottle. Enjoy it- it’s Christmas so whiskey is extra special this time of the year.
It’s grand for a blended whiskey, nothing special.
Single pot still whiskeys are what you should be looking for.
Kilbeggan is a decent whiskey nothing wrong with it at all.
Kilbeggan isn’t bad, it’s wet and contains alcohol, that right there alone is 2/3

Meh it’s alright, not as bad as that Connor McGregor rebottled shite.
If you’re ever looking a bit further up the process range try yellow spot.
It’s bog standard blended Irish whiskey. Not terrible or offensive in any way, but nothing special either. It’s best used as a base for mixers or to use in cocktails that call for Irish whiskey. It wouldn’t be a whiskey I’d be sipping neat personally.
I don’t know about It’s availability in the US but the Tyreconnel Single Malt (standard version not one of the cask special editions) is an affordable (usually around €40) Irish Single Malt that is very enjoyable.

I’m from Kilbeggan and spent a lot of time in that distillery growing up. Still think it’s pretty bad, prefer Tullamore Dew. My local has a bottle and the only person who’s drank it is me when they give me free shots.
Was quite surprised how many ads for Kilbeggan I saw in NYC when I first moved over. Even Irish bars know nothing about it so I’ve seen it as a well whiskey and as an upper shelf whiskey in NYC.

I like it. Its quite good considering the price.
Up until 15 years ago this distillery along with two others made almost all the alcohol from which other brands made their products. That’s as I understood it anyway.
Sure you can hardly taste the difference when you add the ginger and lime!! Please don’t kill me : )

The general rule of thumb is anything without a cork and just a screw cap is of poor value.
Pretty sure it doesn’t have a cork.
But it’s one of the better screw cap for what it’s worth.
To be honest it’s actually grand. I would order it over Jameson if it was the same price in a pub. Few cubes of ice and it’s not too bad but I’d also drink it straight. I normally only drink whiskey straight these days. 20 bucks? Fuck sake you can’t go wrong with that.
A few honourable mentions that will be at a similar price point maybe a bit more would be. Powers, tullamore dew, bushmills. Not sure if you could get any of those in America. There’s a new one out that’s very reasonable called ‘Dublins own’ really liking it at the moment. I doubt you could get it though.

I rather like that one, the tyconnell is nicer (same company make it).
They have a nice tour in the distillery that I’d recommend
It’s not Paddy, which I’d only use to degrease the chain on my bike.
It’s a standard bottle of whiskey, can’t complain for the price.
It’s horrible cheap skanky whiskey that is only given to kids who don’t appreciate the good stuff yet.
For your first drink, drink bells

Kilbeggan is lovely. I enjoy it a lot. It’s casted in sherry barrels so it’s a sweeter blended whiskey. Well worth the money since it’s not overly expensive at all

It’s ok, but not a preference of If day a vast majority of whiskey drinkers in Ireland. If you can get your hands on some Slane whiskey now that’s a treat
