Se apri la mappa della qualità dell’aria di IQAir, puoi effettivamente vedere che la pessima qualità dell’aria è incentrata intorno alla città turca Iğdır (con una qualità dell’aria peggiore man mano che ti avvicini a quella città). Quindi le domande sono: c’è qualcosa che sta succedendo in questa regione che causa tutto ciò? La terribile qualità dell’aria viene da Yerevan? La terribile qualità dell’aria a Yerevan viene da lì? Oppure non sono correlati?
Sarebbe bello se qualcuno con le conoscenze adeguate potesse rispondere a questa domanda.

To begin with – I wonder what’s actually causing the terrible numbers there and here. And where do air currents bring the super high pollution to and from
Both Yerevan and Igdir are in a valley closed off on all sides by mountains. In the winter there’s very little wind so all the smog builds up and doesn’t have anywhere to go. In the summer, there are always strong winds in the evening that blow the pollution away, so the air quality doesn’t get as bad as it does this time of year.
