€1600 ÷ 6 people = €266 each. Not bad value for Miltown, in fairness.

Jesus. I lived in that complex in 2012-2015 in a 3 bed and my rent was less than that for a month. Wild.

It’s really not that difficult to afford 1600 rent.

Air bnb is ruining the market. Why would they rent the place for that much per month when they can make it in a night

New Year’s Eve. It’s outrageous, but trying to book this close for that kind of event/date leads to that kind of price

    6. Booking.com and others use dynamic pricing. Very unlikely anyone is paying that, nor is anyone setting that price, the system is just reacting to market demand. If you look at actual hotels in the area, you’ll probably see similar jumps.

    7. That’s what I call the ‘fck this price’. I could not be arsed with the effort of working New Year’s Eve but if you are wanting to temp me then that’s my price.

Swingers, stag/hen party, college students that will fit 20+ in those beds 🤣

    9. Unfortunately the price of hotels contributes to that.

And as we house our homeless in hotels then we have to house our tourists in apartments!
