I wonder what it will take to end Russian imperialism.

There’s not going to be denazification / -militarization like in post-WW2 Germany or Japan.

And it’s not going to be the 140 million doormats. Why bother talking about the price of potatoes or butter – the same happened in the west – when they rather send their sons, brothers and fathers to die to conquer 20 more centimeters of Ukrainian mud instead of speaking up against their leaders.

What stopped the Soviet Union was capable enemies on their borders, the war in Afghanistan and rot from within the system, see Chernobyl.

If their beloved leader dies, another autocrat from within the circle takes over.

And even if the whole system breaks down again, it’ll be the 90s all over. A few years of something like a democratic movement while people stand in line for 4 hours for meat. Before some other strongman takes over to bring back “law and order”. Before breaking another war off the fence to distract from his cleptocracy.

Look at them: some simply cherish Putin and “special operation”, and some others on their minds have only their own things and do not care about invaded Ukrainians at all.

Ukrainians need those long-range balistics now. There is one way only that this war ends: Russians need to get hurt, Russians need to start to feel afraid.

We like to act like this is a Russia thing but the truth is that most populations have been cowed into apathy by constant fear based news and convince themselves that “it won’t get any worse” and “just wait till we start pushing back”

A couple of months ago a bypasser in moscow got arrested for speaking to the press. Despite praising putin. If speaking to a journalist gets them arrested regardless of word or action, they’re not silent.

THE WAR IS NOT THE ANSWER. to what is going on in the higher political circles. But I kinda understand how manipulative and provocative western culture is , since I live in one.

Us western people like causing problems and then looking for white horse to take responsibility. Maybe its time to stop looking at the east for just a little moment and start looking at ourselves . As much as Putin is delusional so are our governments when they think that this “peaceful” expansions hidden behind “good cause” won’t be seen through.

I wish for every country in this world to cooperate with one another, after all. We are human race, all of us are the same. We dont need “democracy” (gentle dictatorship) everywhere around the world, neither hard dictatorship. Just live and let live.

If we all in the west wanted this war to end, then why are we not offering real solutions? There are always two sides of the coin. Yes , putin shouldn’t have invaded ukraine but maybe we also shouldn’t want every country to be in NATO too. And no , I don’t believe that “invitation” to join NATO is harmless. We know only as much as the media tell us.

As i said there are always two sides on the coin. There is not just one initiator of this problem.
