Nice one, what a contribution!
Youngsters have no idea how much social media (including Reddit) is damaging their mental health, perspective and how heavily it is influencing their perception of reality.
But they refuse to hear it, they want to be treated with kid gloves and want everyone to cater to and be aware of their triggers, but shut down as soon as you mention social media. That their own actions is what is contributing to their issues
Feels a lot like everyone wants sympathy but no one wants to take any personal responsibility
But I guess they have to accept truth sooner or later

As a Greek I will tell you that the Greek government has an excellent record at this. It has managed to protect adults from internet addiction as well, by having the slowest and most expensive internet access in Europe. It has also protected everyone from obesity, by restricting access to affordable food. Most importantly, it has protected us from the sin of greed by restricting access to a viable salary. Creating thus the historically most pure form of the Greek person, the totally poor Greek.
Wrong title, it should be ”Greece announces a plant to spy on everyone”.
why only young ppl ? Because they can’t vote ?
Social media should be treated like smoking.
If anything we need to take facebook from Boomers
The state will mandate a monitoring app be pre-installed in every smartphone sold in Greece.
It will be be closed-source and tied to your legal identity, but don’t worry, it’s to protect the kids! /s
Remember that this is also coming from the same government that was exposed for conducting illegal mass surveillance, including targeted operations against political opponents and journalists.
Parental control apps already exist. This is dystopian and potentially a much worse form of the chat control policy that politicians keep trying to pass at the EU level.
