When did you buy your cheaper ticket?
Sparpreis tickets have a contingent and maybe they are no longer available.

It’s all about the background calculations at DB. If you e.g. go from one price zone to another with a cheaper alternative (S-Bahn), your ICE may cost less. Fares afaik get higher not per km or station, but by a different system.

We don’t see the details for every offer but what is clear is that you have the Super Saver fare for that ticket. If the other routes didn’t have it available, that can make a huge difference.

In one case, an ICE I booked recently varied from 42 euros to 115 with the difference between Super Saver and Flex.

Edit: English that sucks a little less.

Did you buy the cheaper ticket earlier? It says it is a Super Sparpreis Young. You usually cannot get those any more just before departure time, so mist likely the price on the connection overview is the Flexpreis (edit: or the normal Sparpreis or Supersparpreis)

It looks like you’re comparing a super sparpreis ticket to a super sparpreis young ticket.

The question is. What do you want in my city?🤔
