You can’t just look at the polls, see that repeated elections would boost the pro-Russian far right even more than the last time, and choose not to make a compromise with social-democrats without some ulterior motives. ÖVP and SPÖ government would have a slight majority. They won’t have it after new elections, as ÖVP lost a lot of support to FPÖ.
