Any day now, Zeitenwende will come to fruition and Europe will produce the armaments needed to push back against Russian aggression. It’s been almost three years, after all.

Any day now Europeans will wrest leadership on European defense from Donald Trump.

This sounds bad, until you realise that Ukraine is 603,628km^2.

      3600km^2 is <0.6% of Ukraine.

In an entire year of war, which cost Russia ~450,000 casualties, and a staggering amount of hardware which they cannot replace.

They are scraping the bottom of the barrel in terms of tanks, IFVs, artillery and logistics vehicles, and will effectively run dry over Q1/2/3 of this year. As they are producing roughly 20% of new builds and 80% of refurbs, they will never run *out*, but their vehicle supply will contract by a factor of 5. They will be unable to continue the war as they have been doing it now.

20 sq km of territory a day means the ~1000 km front is moving an average of 20 meters a day.

It’s not insignificant, but people are garbage at imagining areas, and this should help clarify.

Russians are gaining some ground by sheer meat grinding own troops who are ignorant or resigned to be sacrificed

When will Europe (west) actually accept reality?

For those of you who don’t know, if we do the math properly, it will take more than 130 years to fully conquer Ukraine at this rate.

I’m comforted by the fact that there are 24 dead Russians for every sq km of seized territory.

Russia has managed to seize .6% of Ukraine in a year LOL

Ukraine needs to be admitted to NATO or it should develop its own nukes. One or the other.
