    1. IMO things like this should be one of the most important goals of the education system in a democracy, because the succes of populist parties often is based on misinformation, and that’s what undermines the democracy in a country in my opinion. We should all be a little bit more like Finland.

      This seems like overhyped stuff and i’m not sure how well it reflects reality.

      Finnish school system and its results seem to be on downward trajectory, because of general ”sloppiness” and aiming too high without covering the basics properly.

      How can you be able to detect false information if you are not familiar with basics of math, biology, history or <insert school subject here>?

      Not having strong baseline in a subject matter leaves you with very little tools to spot possible misinformation, eg. if the source is extremely obnoxiously named ”russianpropaganda.ru”.
