I want to think this is Zelensky trolling Trump.
This is basically an epic level FUCK YOU to all the bad actors. I see Zelensky more my leader than trump and honestly Ukraine will probably become the next America at many levels.
This is probably the wrong place to ask this question, considering 99% of the people here support Ukraine. But I’d love to hear from people that saw this interview going into it with an idea that US/EU shouldn’t support Ukraine – and how the interview impacted their view.
Listening to it myself i found Zelenskyy very convincing, he was very honest but also very strategic in signaling to Trump and his supporters. It’s clear that he’s reaching out to the public that supports Trump, knowing that the Fridman/Rogan/Musk media figures provide good access to that public.
But it would be good to get out of our echo chamber and understand how people that came in with a different perspective reacted to the interview.
As much as I despise Trump, if “buy” means with no strings attached, as in able to target Russian targets in Russia, this may not be a bad deal!
Trump will say no because that would be warmongering and he’s a pacifist currently.
