What percentage of land in each is used as farmland?
Otherwise this isn’t wildly interesting.
That’s why our beef tastes so damn good.
We have the best grass in Europe and the best cattle in Europe since our climate is perfect for it.
We shouldn’t reduce our herd, if anything we should increase it and other EU countries with poorer grazing and cattle should reduce theirs. Ireland should be the EU supplier of beef and livestock while each other country focuses on their best agricultural output. That would be far more efficient on the EU level.

Ireland has the climate of a temperate rainforest without the fucking Forest. At least the butter is the best in world.
Seaweed. Almost eliminates carbon (82%) and is a cheap (free) sustainable fodder to cattle and not use arable land.
