If you want non-Chinese telecom equipment then you have to use Ericsson or Nokia.
Cruise ships and other speciality vessels (the US has a very small ship building capacity and had to use an Italian design for its latest warships).
Airbus is quite dominant in civil aerospace and the most popular engine manufacturer for single isle aircraft is CFM which is 50% French.
The US is also dependent on British military infrastructure in Cyprus and the Indian Ocean.
The issue is that Europe has a significant number of hidden champions. Non-consumer companies that make the things big US corporations need but Americans only see the consumer products and assume that Europoors are mud farmers or something.
