This is all understandable and I find the unfolding events very disturbing. However consider current situation:

1. Borders are being questioned by rogue states, and so called “collective west” looks the other way (Gaza, Taiwan, Ukraine).
2. Greenland has no defensive capabilities.
3. Russian sub can appear out of the blue (water), deploy Wagnerites on a shore, put Greenland as oblast into their consitution the same day and start new Cuban crisis.
4. Danemark or any other EU country won’t risk “atomic war” to defend anything – they are too scared and they will run away, leaving US troops to deal with it.

Europe disarmed itself, allowed ruskies to prepare for war:

* Munich conference 2007
* intellectual delusions about “union from Vladivostok to Lisbon”
* NS1 and NS2 outside future conflict zones (old pipelines in hot zones had chilling effect, as ruskies would be cutting their own oxygen by starting a war)
* selling them assault Mistral ships, modern training facilities and optoelectronics they could not made themselves
* Germany blocking troops transports during NATO exercises in Central Europe (strategic signalling: we won’t allow NATO defend the flank)
* Ignoring Crimea
* Ignoring Georgia
* etc, etc

This is “finding out” phase of FAFO.

And as usual, the only thing europens can do is to “express concern”.

Here’s the thing: MAGA doesn’t care. MAGA just creates an artificial reality, where anyone who doesn’t want to become American in Greenland is really just ‘the elite’ that is suppressing the true will of the Greenlandic people.

The leader of Greenland Government says they don’t want to be Greenlandic? He’s just a paid shill. A majority of Greenlanders poll that they don’t want integration with the US? Fake News. An actual vote is held and rejects the notion? Rigged. Because everyone knows that deep inside every Greenlander, there’s an American wanting to get out, MAGA MAGA MAGA USA USA USA!!!

Greenland will be forced to make a choice soon. EU, US, or whoever else makes a claim on them. I thought the world had left land grabs behind, but apparently, we haven’t….
