Thankfully we have laws in Europe which they can’t ignore
This has been coming for a while – if you want to do business in the EU follow EU rules. If not, we will somehow struggle on without you and get our right wing propaganda and cat memes from chinese sources instead.
Reactions to this is starting to feel like we’re eager to shoot ourselves in the foot. People should be able to express their opinion – even if their opinions are uninformed or disagreeable.

All of these are insults from 16 year olds, why are we clutching our pearls over all of this. FFS act like adults. And yes, we you should have the right to insult someone online.
You don’t need to be Sherlock Holmes to understand that these trashes plus the other third billionaire trash Bezoz don’t care at all about ideology and would do anything to destabilize the EU so that they can thrive even more, no matter if with a weaker EU the US will suffer too.
After all the US are so pathetic arrogant full of their “world savior” narrative, they won’t ever neither see nor admit that it’s them who need the EU, more than the opposite.
The US is just the defective son of the EU, historically, culturally.
A stupid son which became a bully and only knows how to bully.
The world is full of dangerous sharks and needs a stronger EU right now.
It’s not anymore time for the EU to play submissive to the US.
The U.S.A. is clearly not our ally anymore, if they ever were.

There are alternatives to Meta and X businesses. Open-source, nonprofit platforms such as BlueSky and Mastodon are good options. Signal is the nonprofit competitor to WhatsApp. It can be frustrating to make a change after years, but the world has changed—and so must we.
I think these tech people understand that a corrupt oligarchic theocracy is not a good place for innovation. Both the USA and the EU need to be taken down at the same time or western innovation and cultural expression will just shift to the EU over time.
