I used cimexa and tossed my bed frame that had them which mostly worked but after they came back ultimately only a heat treatment resolved the issue

Trying to do this on your own is almost certainly doomed to fail.
And since this is for insects and other arthropods with a very different diet, this won’t work anyway. You won’t reach all the bedbugs in hiding either.

we bought Kärcher (steam cleaner) for about 150€ and steamed every part of bed and sofa and all possible slit and slots, where they can hide. And washed in 60°C everything that is washable. It seems, it did the trick because we haven’t got a problem with bedbugs again for couple of months now.
Note: we did all of that before it got a big problem (before big infestation).
