We have been distributing laptops, tablets, and gaming systems in Ukraine. If you have any tech products to donate, email [tech@protectavolunteer.com](mailto:tech@protectavolunteer.com) to arrange how to get it to us.
These are Xboxes and Playstations donated to Protect a Volunteer. I don’t know the screenname but it’s from someone on Reddit. Many soldiers in Ukraine are seriously wounded and they will spend months in the hospital. They need some entertainment. Gaming systems are perfect as they can have things to do for long periods of time and some systems can even help them in their rehabilitation too.
The Xbox 360 you see here was given to a British volunteer who lost his leg while in Ukraine’s National Guard. He and his roommates now have it. They didn’t have a TV for it but luckily we were able to buy the one you see here from donations to the Sock it Russia campaign here: [https://givebutter.com/sock_it_russia](https://givebutter.com/sock_it_russia)
The Xbox One is going to a foreign soldier who was just seriously injured. He actually is a little bit too injured right now to use it yet but his teammates have said that learning he has this to look forward to is helping keep his spirits up.
One of the Playstations is with another British soldier from GUR Legion who is at risk of losing his leg. The other one was sent to a rehab center in Lviv which assists wounded Ukrainian soldiers. We would LOVE to get more sets to send them as one isn’t enough.
How can you help? If you have a gaming system and/or games that you don’t use anymore, we can take them and distribute them in Ukraine. It is fine if they are older models so long as they work. E-mail [tech@protectavolunteer.com](mailto:tech@protectavolunteer.com) with some information on what you have. We have a collection point in the USA and then bring tech equipment over in large batches. Please be patient as unfortunately this isn’t a fast process.
If you are in Europe and you have access to a Nova Poshta then it’s extremely easy to get us one. Nova Poshta is fast, very reasonably priced, and extremely reliable therefore we have no problems accepting something that is shipped directly. In that case please send an email to [protectavolunteer@gmail.com](mailto:protectavolunteer@gmail.com) and we will give you the Nova Poshta address. Please include a photo of what you have so we can make sure we can accept it.
Would an oldish smartphone be any good for them? If not, I’d be happy to donate a few steam games if there’s an account somewhere..?
That’s a great idea!
Would a PS3 be acceptable? I never use it anymore
Be aware that Ukraine is PAL region and NTSC format systems will not work there.
Do you also need stuff like smartphones etc?
Are handheld devices okay?
My son has an old Nintendo 2ds, with a bunch of games.
