The EU is certainly facing significant headwinds but VdL is the least qualified person to do anything about it. That woman has been failing upwards her entire political life.

Europe is fked regardless, regulations are fking up economies, but its population, blinded by populist social democrat adoctrination throughout years in all institutions (even universities), will just demand even more regulations daddy state☺️☺️ and this sub is just another proof of it. Mixed economies had great sucedd in the past (post ww2) in Europe, like it does have now in China (a diferente kind, but it highlight what a powerfull state can do to the tech sector in a short time).

I love the EU and the prospects and potential that it offers everyone but there is one fundamental flaw(others too), in its application and that is;
Everyone is trying to be and do the same thing and out compete each other. We should be building systems and companies together.
This is down to the way we think and persevere each other. We should not be seeing ourselves as competitors but collaborators.
Example: Airbus, a French airplane manufacturing company.
No other Nation State in the EU has the means to compete with Airbus, for a number of reasons.
This company should be seen as an EU company invested in and operated by all EU states. Everyone should have a seat at the table so to speak, from the manufacturing hall to directors board. Quotas for each nations.
Could France and the French see this as a loss, yes of course but if you extend that concept across all EU States, companies and sectors of the economy it balances out.
