    1. Well doesn’t Ukraine have those resources because the US, Germany and other European countries have literally given them both the equipment and billions of euros? Not saying Ukraine doesn’t have its own but I’ve lost count on how much military aid they’ve received to date.

I’m afraid he’s going to bomb another important infrastructure if we don’t comply.

I don’t know. This nato umbrella backed by a billion people seems pretty comfortable.

can we just give 3 times more to Ukraine to get him to stfu.. im so tired of how little he thinks of us..

I don’t think europe is completely doomed, but I agree that nato would be stronger with ukraine. Just look at these warriors, it’s been 3 years in trenches and they are not giving up. We should support as much as we can.

This guy is recently spewing out ridiculous stuff like this, Ukraine must really be on the brink of collapse.

Hahahah, this sub is ridiculous, I swear. Until yesterday it was all “Slava Ukraini!” And “Zelensky is da king!”, but now that he only _mentions_ Europe, suddenly he’s shit and Ukraine should be left on their own.

      Really European Union values guys.

Well he’s not wrong in many ways.

Russia could be at the edge of Berlin and we’d still be debating how to respond.

See how long it took for us to react to Covid as a clear example.

Some days I feel that we should take head of the old Roman Empire, in times of trouble they would elect two dictators. One from the upper class and one from the plebs, they’d have the ability to make non votable decisions for a set period of time then would be removed from power.

honestly though if ukraine fell it wouldnt be the end of the world, it would just be a 2nd belarus. yeah we really don’t want that, that causes enough problems already, so we’d rather help ukraine (and also just because it’s the right thing to do, to limit the number of people suffering from opression by foreign powers) but it wouldn’t be the end of the world otherwise.

I hope it doesn’t happen, i’d rather Ukraine (and Belarus eventually) be free countries and push russia back into asia where they came from

Ukraine doesn’t have to win, it just has to survive long enough until there is unrest in Russia because of the war economy, which is impossible to maintain in the long term.

    11. Europe have done much kindness to refugees and minorities. How many will stand by Europe if Russia attacked

    12. Doomed is overselling it. Ukraine has already exposed how poorly Russia would perform against a motivated and well equipped enemy.

Does having Ukraine shield us from Russia greatly benefit Europe, and should we be making that role as painless as possible for them? Absolutely.

Would allowing Russia to take over Ukraine and her natural and human resources make Russia a bigger threat to Europe? Absolutely.

    13. BoddAH86 on

We need to stop pretending that we’re generously helping Ukraine by supporting them. They’re helping us by defending our borders with Russia with their lives.

    14. RedBulik on

And we want you. Just start going after the oligarchs and corruption in your country. Show any effort at all.

    15. Durumbuzafeju on

Not just militarily. Ukraine is a country that should be seen as the most precious ally Europe can find.

Ukraine has the largest supply of chernozem, the most fertile agricultural soil on Earth. To add to this, it is located outside of the warming effects of the Gulf stream, which heats Western Europe to its currently known climate. In the event of the Gulf stream weakening or stopping completely, Western countries will experience a new ice age, their current agriculture will be devastated. Any form of agricultural production will only remain uninterrupted around Poland, Hungary, Serbia, Greece, and east of these countries. Ukraine could be our insurance against mass starvation, not being affected by the Gulf stream.

    16. ComradeCatilina on

I respect the hustle, but it’s Ukraine who is doomed without Europe, not the other way around.
