It’s sad that mainstream parties haven’t managed to listen to the concern of the people, and we now have at least half a decade of right-wing populism.

I keep saying that the powerful rich conservative movements are spreading their money over the populations and changing people minds without realizing that they are compromising their own values and freedoms.

Unfortunately, there seems no way around it this time. Too many people have decided they want it like this. And the failure of the recent governments to address inconvenient issues caused this fuck-up. I guess we have to dive through this and hope for the best, while keeping alert and defensive. What’s more worrying is that this is an international trend.

it’s a pendulum swing contrary to big leftist movements of last decades, it will likely get worse before it gets better.

As an Austrian I look forward to it, the mass Immigration is destroying the safety in our citys and dramatically changed the Situation in my country since 2015, we have enough

How about the other parties stop filling our countries with immigrants with people from low HDI countries….

Wouldn’t have happened if the EU wasn’t a bastion of woke left wing fools.

The EU is gong to to have to recognise and accept this sooner or later.

That’s obviously not good at all. If there is one positive thing about this, then that yes, he will be chancellor, but 1. his party has no absolute majority and can at least not push it’s destructive agenda on it’s own and 2. the government has no two-thirds majority to push constitution changes – that’s a VERY important fact.
Let’s hope we get this over real soon and the FPÖ once more consumes itself after not too many years. That said, now is the time to subscribe to endangered media and support small cultural institutions with donations – those are the ones who will suffer immediately after tiny Neo-Goebbels takes over the chancellery.

Also, our country needs to save money – drastically. The measures to be taken are far from popular and could definitely harm the popularity of the parties in power. Let’s hope for the best and stay vigilant by all means. We will not be a second Hungary.

Why people vote for the right wing candidates? Could it be because left wing went to extreme?

EU is becoming crippled, in lime with the KGB agenda. It might need to be reformed into a smaller, tougher version without these far right parasites in order to function.

if it is new normal surely it isnt on the political extremes then by definition

      Hungary, Slovakia, Austria

Man, we are really getting the band back together

Looks like Austria’s dusting off the old playbook. Last time an Austrian right-wing extremist took the spotlight, it didn’t end well for anyone. So what could possibly go wrong?

Lol same thing in all countries:

Import low skilled medieval people over many years, this is what you get.

The new normal and sane thing to do is to vote for the “far right”.

It didn’t have to be that way, Europe’s left could have saved this themselves a long time ago, but where to afraid to be called racists.

Yes to immigration, but for those who deserve it and share the same values.

    17. Professional-Big5886 on

But fascist in Ukraine according to many Western media and politicians (still 0% of far right parties in parliament, not even to mention the prime minister or ministers).

    18. Far-Crow-7195 on

I don’t pretend to know much about them. Are they actually far right or just right of the cosy status quo we have had for a while across Europe? Far right gets massively overused these days.
