oh no. Are they trying to blame rising prices and inflation on Irish opposition to Israel genociding the people of Gaza.

Ok fine i cave. as long as the price of a pint doesnt go up you can bomb as many hospitals as yis want. TF is wrong with people.

    2. mrlinkwii on

so your saying that we should overlook what isreal is doing because of the economy ? , i just want to make sure im not reading this wrong

    3. NewryIsShite on

In other words “Let us genocide Palestinians, displace them, and plant even more of their land, or we will lobby America to punish you”.

      Never capitulate to Zionist scum.

Hopefully one day all of the people in the Levant will live in peace, and this disgusting ideology will be taught to the people of Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, and Egypt the same way the South African people learn about the Apartheid regime.

The Irish people or their politicians do not hate Israel. We hate what you’re doing to innocent people. Stop trying to paint yourselves as the victims in all of this. What happened was awful. We all agree. Your response was barbaric.

Don’t let the door hit you on the way out love. Self pitying wrench.

Israeli politicians are so blinded by racist hate of Palestinians that they will order ethnic cleansing and genocide.

    7. Hour_Mastodon_9404 on

Israeli’s are so blinded by hatred of Palestinians they’re committing an unrepentant genocide against them.

Which of those is worse Dana?

    8. fartingbeagle on

Well, we’ve already ignored one Dana lecturing us, let’s do it to another!

    9. ya_bleedin_gickna on

      She’s a fucking dose.

All the talk from Israeli politicians about antisemitism just devalues the word.

    10. Garry-Love on

Morals is more important than money. The Israelis could do with remembering that

    11. Atlantic_Rock on

Well you say that, but our soon-to-be taoiseach is trying to weasel out of the OTB

    12. Sonderkin on

      Who hates Israel?

We are appalled by a certain subset of their actions

But if Israel is saying those actions define them that’s really up to them

    13. -NotVeryImportant- on

Not sure about anyone else, but I don’t hate Israel, or Israelis. I absolutely disagree with what their government is doing, same way I disagreed with the yanks going into Iraq, Russia going into Ukraine, and countless other atrocities.

    14. RuggerJibberJabber on

Irish politicians have a bias towards israel if anything. Theyre just not AS bias as other western governments so are labelled as anti-semetic. Any criticism of the IDF always has to be prefaced with “but we also condemn Hamas”. However when Hamas were the aggressors, they didn’t need to make excuses to condemn them. There shouldn’t ever need to be a “but we also…” when anyone kills civilians regardless of who that is.

Fight military targets all yis like, but going around killing and kidnapping innocents who have nothing to do with the conflict is wrong regardless of the situation and regardless of what flag you’re waving.

Hurting the economy feels better when people like Dana here are taking it personally enough to get vocal about it. I’ll take an injured economy instead of their handy work any day. 👋

    16. death_tech on

But it really isn’t a hatred of Isreal and she fucking knows it.

It’s a hatred of the way Isreali forces and the elected govt that supports the war, are effecting their war with zero concern for innocent people being caught up in their military actions.

Nobody in Ireland gives a flying spaghetti monster about what religion the Isreali soldiers are we just hate to see innocent people completely smashed asunder in this way by a monumentally, unevenly stronger force who SHOULD be a professional military force and SHOULD know how to effect war in as humanitarian a way as possible.

And hamas, like hezzbolah are fucking scum too and deserve to be taken apart.

Why does the Irish media keeping interviewing this person? She’s gone, we don’t want her opinion anymore.

    18. Sack-O-Spuds on

That photograph and this article in its entirety is actually… disgraceful. ‘Oh I’m just a poor innocent prayerful genocidal maniac”

    19. danny_healy_raygun on

Ireland is so offended by genocide they’re willing to do the right thing even if it costs them something.

    20. DeeTheFunky6 on

Why are we still featuring interviews from an apologist to flagrant war crimes? We are literally giving these people a platform for propaganda and lies

    21. coffee_and-cats on

It’s lack of intelligence that has her (and others likeminded) thinking that being anti-war in Israel is the same as being antisemitic.

It’s also stupidity that thinks the Holocaust is only about Jewish people. Fair enough, Jews were the most targeted but the Nazis had a widespread hatred for anyone who didn’t fit their ideology. The President speaking at a Holocaust Memorial Event is important, so it can allow people to remember the events of WW2 and why xenophobia is wrong, and that it’s important to embrace people of all backgrounds, to reduce hate and war.

    22. ashfeawen on

There’s an assumption everyone is motivated by hatred, because very often a person will assume others think in the same manner they do themselves. You’re telling on yourself there, Dana.

    23. amorphatist on

Nice economy you got there, shame if anything happed to it…

      Pure thuggery.
