La produzione nucleare francese è salita del 13% raggiungendo il livello più alto degli ultimi sei anni, rappresentando il 67% della produzione totale del paese. Le energie rinnovabili hanno raggiunto la cifra record di 148 terawattora, ovvero quasi il 28% del totale. L’energia idroelettrica è salita ai massimi dal 2013 in mezzo a forti piogge, mentre l’energia eolica è diminuita.

Interestingly, thanks to unusually strong contributions from nuclear and hydro, solar was larger than all fossil fuels combined:
>Solar accounted for 4.3% of total generation, leapfrogging natural gas and other fossil fuels for the first time. Power generation using gas, coal and fuel oil was the lowest since the early 1950s.
Gas was 3.2%, oil was 0.3% and coal was 0.1%.
