Ara fair play to him, isn’t a good thing the Nardai can get a drink after hours when the rest of us are gone home to bed. Sure if the same privileges were afforded to the rest of us, we’d be breaking each others noses left right and centre.

A group of Gardai were drinking after hours at a licensed premises, and the superintendent said every one of the gardai present would be disciplined *if* the Garda who was assaulted made a criminal complaint against the other Garda who broke his nose.
What kind of fuckery is this ? Superintendent is aware of his staff drinking at a licensed premises after hours, and not only does he not discipline them – he effectively blackmails the Garda who was assaulted into *not* making a criminal complaint – otherwise he would be made responsible for all of his colleagues getting disciplined.
Surely that’s the headline story here ?
