I’m already seeing people asking if they’ll get a warning from they’re employer if they refuse to go in.

Grand, I was meant to be in work for 7, we’ll be told to hold off coming in until the red warning has passed.

Just before the power goes boil a kettle, fill your flask/s and a hot water bottle. Charge batteries for torch or LED lantern if you have one (horrid light but lasts a long time).
Charge the phone, do not watch porn on it.
Batten down the hatches.
Seems like an uptick in these the last couple years.

Ophelia… Our one actual hurricane, maxed out at 87kmph mean and 131 kmph gust…. This is currently predicting 91kmph mean and lots of areas gusting 155/157kmph.
It’s a day and a half out still but the models are all trending towards this being horrific and met eireann have committed to the red quite early as well.

Meant to be doing house viewings in Dublin. Hoping they’re cancelled tbh, would rather not miss them but don’t want to drive.
