New plans for co2 neutrality: make russia a european nature reserve. The fertilizer is allready there.

This is moronic to a horrendous degree. Invading Russia would in no doubt be the end of humanity.

Thats true. Baltics and Finland now has been a voice of reason for quite some time.

Russia does not tolerate weaker and smaller neighbours or countries. It’s not France, Italy or Germany all of whom are benevolent and no longer imperialistic and “allow” smaller neighbours to exist and prosper.

Russia on the other hand recognizes only string large countries and everything in between is up for the taking. It’s neo imperialism.

    7. Wonder if ‘we’ ever chose to tell russia that ukraine will never be part of nato. It didn’t happen if not at the very beginning to be then shut off by the western representatives who didn’t want to rule out that possibility. What was put on the table to discuss? other than keep sending weapons and pushing away any sort of peace talk while causing more aggressive reactions with more death every single time? It’s because now that Trump said that we have to reach 5% of nato spending, they have to convince us that this is vital, they are scared that the US will withdraw otherwise leaving us uncovered

Europe won’t do anything to Russia until America does first. Everyone knows this.

      Just all talk.

    9. PxddyWxn on

Fuck you. How about our governments starts to prepare for war and do the necessary preparations instead of telling us ( who can’t do shit anyway) to prepare for war.

I’m Ok with investing more in the defense industry, but only in European companies and in Europe built equipment so we become less dependent on the US.

So I should prepare to flee the European Union to avoid being in a war?

    12. Cant we just stop and be friends? Cant be so hard, can it??? Cause i dont want war, i dont want to kill and i dont want to be killed either. Everybody should ask that question themselves, do you want to die for… i dont even know what it is for. Maybe we can reduce it to just locking the leaders of a country in a room and they should fight it out in there the way they want… They can kill eachother, talk… realize they dont want to die, cause they dont have to, other people die for them. And then, well we just dont let them out anymore until they are good kids again….

    13. Wow look at the comments under the original Reddit post (or don’t, for your own sanity).

The title is factual as in the literal words but I think it’s misrepresenting what she’s saying. The full quote is “We need to spend more to prevent war, but we also need to prepare for war”, and the fuller context is she’s saying a higher defense budget sends a signal of strength, not that she believes war is imminent. Maybe she does, but I do not believe this is what she is saying here.

Meanwhile Belgium has no actual usable armored vehicles and they’ve just now decided to arm the few drones they have. Jfc.

We ARE at war. The war of desinformation.

And it’s not enough to prepare for a physical war, we all have to start checking if information is correct and stop repeating everything we read.

    17. Rospigg1987 on

Wow, those OG comments in the other thread is quite something.

Highlights are that all western Russian neighbours are US lap dogs and that’s why they are speaking out against a benevolent Russia that only wants peace, and that is from more than one commentator and none have been voted down into oblivion.
