Night of the big wind is a pretty ominous name 🙁
The ghettos in Dublin were some of the worst in Europe at the time. Not surprising this happened.

300 deaths is crazy.
But also, in Ireland we love to understate things. The Word is at war, camps for perceived enemies of the state set up around Europe and in the US. Ireland thinks that might be an Emergency. Northern Ireland in a constant state of civil unrest with rival factions fighting in the streets and civilian targets caught in-between. Sounds like they are having some Troubles up there. 300 deaths to extreme weather. That was a big wind.
