Ciao Finlandia.

    Grazie mille 😎

I very much doubt it. Couldn’t find any hits on Google using “Kotka Ruutu” and by googling “Gutzeitin laatikkotehdas” I found an article telling about how that company went bankrupt – in 1971. But I think that Gutzeitin laatikkotehdas was the company that made that box, not that flooring material. But I’m 99% sure that your floor material isn’t made anymore.

Hi there, the company Gutzeit merged with Enso then became Stora-Enso so your best option is to try to find out if they have any stock (doubt it) or new similar products. https://www.storaenso.com/en

    3. That doesn’t really look like hardwood birch, but some engineered flooring.

If you want, there are several birch hardwood floor makers in Finland, but the shipping will add quite a bit on the price.

It is birch. The name of the product is Kotka Ruutu and Ruutu refers to the shape, square. This was later sold under name Saima until (my guess) 10-15 years ago. Very nice flooring.

The last manufacturer was Karelia. Upofloor made it at some point. Sadly it seems not to be in production anymore.

I am sure there is some of it available somewhere in small quantities but it will be a treasure hunt to find some.

    5. Jachni is not hardwood but an engineered floor.
Do you know any company who makes this? 😄
