It’s not normal in the sense that it’s common, but yes, bugs live in plants in Germany and might land in your food. Go wherever you bought this and get a refund. Or contact the company directly and probably get a dozen cans for free.

But seriously, it happens when you buy canned vegetables and stuff, bugs like plants and so they sometimes end up with the plants when canned. Should it happen, no, but it does.
We call it “gratis Fleischbeilage”. 😉 Don’t worry! Science says bugs are save to eat and healthy.

You think peas are grown in a lab? It’s a product from nature, so yeah there can be some leftover nature. Even though it’s pretty rare. This one might have just the right size and shape to fool the machines.

Call the customer service number in the packaging and report this. This is NOT normal. NOT acceptable. It’s a serious breach of Food Safety and HACCP.
If you don’t call them, they won’t know about it and can’t make corrections.

All food agencies allow for a certain number of bugs (per kilo) in our food. It’s natural that some of them get through while processing.
