To ignore the middle east entirely on the day when Trump called for ethnic cleansing of Gaza would have been grotesque
if you feel embarrassed or enraged hearing about a current-day genocide at a genocide memorial, surely that’s a cause for some self-reflection

It’s of course important to solemnly commemorate the horrors of the Holocaust but if some in the Jewish community cannot even bear to humanise Palestinians in such a minor way in a speech, in the context of a current genocide and ethnic cleansing, they need to do some serious self-reflection.
