A game on TV every Friday night is exactly what the league has needed for a long time. No more of RTE’s shite where they show a game in May and then there’s a TV blackout until July.
Glad to see LOI getting coverage but Virgin are terrible at covering sports so I already know its going to be absolutely shite. They blow all the budget securing the rights and then they string together a dreary panel of z listers on the cheap and stick on ads every 2 mins.
I’d love to see a dedicated RTE Sport channel set up some day.
I may be in the minority when it comes to this,but I’d love to see something like Soccer Republic come back eventually. obviously it’d be redundant in an era where highlights go straight to YouTube, but getting an overview of the whole league in one place again would be beautiful
